On the road for over 25 years, singing in a tough, vocal style and playing searing volcanic guitar combined with a wild on- (and off!) stage show, he is the archetypal “mad axeman”.
Next to self-penned songs (see discography), Roy interprets the classics in his own blistering style. His good-rockin’ band supplies the supple, driving backbeat over which Roy spits his raw, cutting solos.
As well as fronting his own band, Roy has also been heard with such R&B luminaries as Chris Farlowe, Supercharge, Spencer Davis, Pete York, Jimmy Carl Black and Zoot Money.
